We are back at the Rijeka circuit in Croatia. The last time we raced here was in 2022.
Qualifying: After a few adjustments to the machine, we take pole position ahead of the Finnish/British pairing by just 51 thousandths.
Sprint Race: A very good start! We manage to keep our pole position advantage and start to pull away from our rivals. After a few laps, Team 44 catches us. We stay on their tail for several laps, but they gradually begin to pull away. We can't match their pace: we have a lot of wheelspin in the left-hand corners. After the race, we analysed where we were losing time compared with Team 44.
Gold Race: We tried a new tyre during Sunday morning warm-up and it paid off: we improved on our qualifying time again and found more grip in the left-handers, as well as in the final sector of the circuit where we had been losing time in the sprint race. Same start as the day before, but this time the Finnish/British pairing is right behind us! They attack on the straight, but we get back past in the 180° left-hander. What follows is a great battle! We swap the lead several times. We then start catching backmarkers, but the first overtakes don't go our way… After 18 laps we can't retake the lead, but we finish just eight tenths behind.
