A perfect weekend at Pau! A big weekend for the team, as we were racing in both the World Championship and the French Championship on the same weekend! All in a heatwave, with temperatures of no less than 42 degrees...
Qualifying: We take pole position in both FSBK and the World Championship. A very close session, with the Finnish/British pairing just 0.097 seconds behind!
World Championship Race 1: A very good start, closely followed by crew no. 44. We string together fast laps and, after only half the race, manage to build a small gap lap after lap. We win the race by 2 seconds, still in intense heat… We also set a new lap record.
World Championship Race 2: Same start as the day before, we lead out of the first corner! This time we manage to build a small gap from the very first lap. Unfortunately, on lap 5, a crew crashed and race control had to show the red flag. Because of the very tight schedule and the extreme heat, it was impossible to restart the race, as the prefecture had banned sporting events after 12:00. We therefore win the second World Championship race.
FSBK Race 1: Starting from pole position, we keep the advantage into the first corner and, lap after lap, extend our lead to win the first race of the weekend.
FSBK Race 2: Same start as the day before, we lead from the start and keep that position all the way to the chequered flag.
