A perfect weekend!
Qualifying: After a series of 4 fast laps, we take pole position. We make a few adjustments to the machine and head back out, but with too much traffic it's impossible to improve. So we keep the fastest time.
Sprint Race: A flying start, we set the pace from the opening laps and quickly build a sizeable gap. Unfortunately, after an incident, race control deploys the safety car. It pulls in with 1 lap to go: we are straight back up to speed and take the chequered flag as winners!
Gold Race: Same start as the day before, we string together fast laps. At half distance, a crash for one of our rivals forces race control to show the red flag. The race is restarted some twenty minutes later. We make another excellent start in a race shortened to 5 laps. Lap after lap we extend our lead to finish more than 4 seconds ahead of the Finnish-British pairing. We leave with a 14-point lead in the provisional standings.
