Back at the Cathedral of Assen for the 6th round of the World Championship.
Qualifying: A series of fast laps, then back to the pit lane to fine-tune a few settings. We head out again for a few laps; the times come down, but we can't quite take pole: 3rd-fastest, just a tenth off.
Race 1: It's raining. We make a good start and are 2nd after the first corner, behind crew number 3. On lap 3 we take the lead, but at the end of that same lap the Finnish/British pairing gets ahead. We try to keep up, but they manage to pull away, while crew 95 is right on our tail. We hold on to 2nd place.
Gold Race: A very good start! We go round the outside of both our rivals in the first corner and take the lead. Shortly before half distance the Swiss/German pairing attacks, but we strike straight back. They try again in the final corner, but we cut back across. We win the race by just three tenths!!!
