Here we are for the second round of the World Championship at the legendary German Sachsenring circuit!
Qualifying: After very close qualifying, we set the second-fastest time behind the Christie brothers, just 0.07s off!
Sprint Race: An excellent start, we take the lead from the first corner! We set the pace but machine number 34 is right behind us. A few laps from the end, they manage to pass us at the circuit's first corner. We keep fighting and get back past them at the penultimate corner of the last lap!!! What a battle!
Gold Race: Conditions are uncertain… The track is wet but it has stopped raining… We decide to start with a slick on the rear and intermediates on the front and the sidecar wheel. The lights go out and we spin up a little. We complete the first lap in 3rd place. We attack the Swiss pairing Schlosser/Schmidt and then the Christie brothers to take the lead, and manage to build a gap. Lap after lap the track dries and our rivals close in. Unfortunately, a crash in a fast left-hander forces race control to show the red flag… Another win, and we leave as provisional World Championship leaders.
