This weekend we were at Brands Hatch for the final of the British championship (BSB).
Qualifying: The track temperature is cold! As the session goes on, we manage to improve the suspension set-up to best suit this very hilly layout. We take pole position.
Race 1: Rain arrives just before the start. Lights out, we come out of the first corner in second, closely followed by crew 77. At turn 3 we're pushed off. We rejoin the track in the middle of the pack! We start our fightback, but on lap 2 we lose grip on the last straight of the circuit and end up in the gravel trap… unable to rejoin, it's a DNF.
Race 2: In BSB the rules are different: we don't start from pole position. The grid is based on the previous day's race times, so we start 7th. A good start, we manage to latch on to the leading group, set the fastest race lap and pass our rivals. We take the lead on the final lap of the race!! We take the chequered flag as winners. What a race!!!
