Qualifying: A new circuit for Harry; I had raced here the year before. After finding the right gearing, we work on the suspension. Right at the end of session 2 we set the 3rd-fastest time.
Race 1: On the formation lap, after 4 corners, we can't change gear! Back to the pit lane... The small screw between the quickshifter and the selector rod has broken. The team repairs the machine but we leave the pit lane two laps down. Unfortunately we are not classified at the chequered flag.
Race 2: We manage to keep our 3rd place after the first corner. We're wheel to wheel with the Birchall brothers and the Ellis/Clément pairing, closely followed by 34, 29, 44 and 77. Great battles unfold early in the race. At half distance the Christie/Christie pairing passes us. We give it everything right to the last corner and finish four tenths off the podium and 1.6 seconds behind the leader. We still set the second-fastest race lap!
